Sarah Valiquette

Sarah Valiquette is one of the owners and General Manager of Orillia’s new restaurant, Era 67. Sarah was attracted to this beautiful city of Orillia after studying her first year at Lakehead University located at the Heritage Place four years ago. She fell in love with the community and knew one day she would fulfill her dream of being an entrepreneur in this great Sunshine City. One of her strongest beliefs has always been, “Having positive community engagement is the foundation to great happiness.”

This belief and the support of her community helped Sarah overcome a multitude of obstacles through the journey of opening Era 67 Restaurant.

Since the grand opening in the spring, Sarah has organized and executed community fundraisers for the Orillia Legion and the Terry Fox Foundation – the first ever, Cheeseburger Competition. Sarah was a chosen guest speaker for Lakehead University and created the, “Pursuance of Education” bursary for Lakehead Orillia students. Sarah has been involved with numerous community festivals, fundraisers and has supported and participated in a large number of charitable events. Sarah acknowledges that community involvement and building friendships and business relationships have been instrumental for her success. In addition, Sarah Valiquette will be on the Local Living television show for Rogers this fall and will also be featured in the YFM Magazine (Your Foodservice Magazine) detailing their operation in Orillia.
